    Default Somax 250 sawset

I have a somax 250 sawset. On the box it says it covers teeth 13-27 points per inch. (though why anyone would want to put set on a 27pt saw beats me)

On the Dieter Schmid website it describes the same sawset as covering 5 - 16 points per inch.

Does anyone have any more information as to the use of the somax 250 especially any conversion of the numbers on the anvil to actual points per inch.

The quality of the anvil doesn't seem as good as my Eclipse 77. At the moment for fine toothed saws I use an old Stearns.
    Cheers,
    Jim

I believe they make two sizes. Tools for Working Wood/Gramercy sells them both

Yes I've got the blue one which is the fine one as my eclipse does the job up to 12 points.
