#2 roasted duck skin wrapped in pancake with hoi sin sauce.
#3 stir fried roasted duck meat and chinese veg
    #4 chicken and cashew nuts

No, the word for 'Cat' in Chinese is 'Duck'

    Looks excellent Scotty.

I always find the problem with cooking Chinese is that the preparation takes sooooooooo long, and you have to go buy all those weird ingredients.

The pancakes sound a bit like Peking Duck.

I'm trying to picture you serving it all up and saying 'hold on please people, I need to take some photos of your meal before you begin. I have to show my friends on the woodworking forum what I've cooked up'.
I wonder what they were really thinking at that point.

So did you give them attitude when you served it so that they had the authentic Chinese dining experience?

No, it's easy. You just have to dip them in boiling water for a 30 seconds or so to before you start. The skin peels straight off.

Jow104 my friend. Cooking Chinese is all about preparation. Wash the veg, boil the cashew nuts, deep fried the cashew nut, cut up the chicken (or cat), cook the rice, crack the eggs, cut up the celery, peel the carrot, cut up the carrot, boil the carrot, make the tea. 2 hours seems too short. The cooking takes only 15 to 20 minutes.

Gumby, they are starting to think I am a member of a cult.

Arh, white man cooks Chinese. I told my mother-in-law so many times “not to try this at home” but she never listens.

It is all about procedure, you need to cook things in the right order. Not just maxing meat, vegetable and sauce together and heat them up. YUCK!! Don’t be fooled by those “Better homes and gardens” cook books.

    Alright Wongo,
I'll invite you and family to dinner.
Stir fry in twenty minutes and there won't be anything left on the plate.

Leaving London for Melbourne 24 th Sept.
