Default wattly solagard to zinc need primer??

im building a carport, its made from zincalume posts and beams, i want to paint it using wattyl solagard, do i need a etch primer to be put on the metal first or will just painting the colour onto the metal be good enough after cleaning the surface?

Thats why you pay the big money for solarguard , you don't need a primer or undercoat

Brand new zincilume has a clear grease on it which needs to be cleaned before painting over. Usually you would allow the zinc to age for around 12 months before painting.
