    Default For pool owners

We inherited a good inground pool with the house.

It was "landscaped" on one side with *(&%^# golden cane palms.

I have just removed these as I feared they would eventually crack the pool,
a problem I had seen before.

Well the stump grinder was in today. Looks as if I may have been just in
time. The mass of roots was impressive and they were quite dense along
    the wall of the pool.

    So warning, warning.

    Good timing there.
We have canes around our pool but at about 3-4 meters away from the pool wall, hopefully won't be a problem as I heard that the root ball doesn't travel too far.

    Thumbs up

You may well be safe at that distance but take care nonetheless.

Don't allow too many trunks to flourish as this seems to encourage the roots to spread.

    Good luck!!

I always thin out the tall ones to keep all canes at about 2-3.0 mts, more privacy and looks nice and bushy.
