Default Wera Screw Grabbers or similar

    Hi,

Does anyone know of a stockist in Melbourne (or even Aust) for these OR a similar product ? The shipping cost is 4 times the item cost from OS.

What about a trick for holding screws on the end of screw drivers that doesnt include your other hand (!) or a magnetic tip ?

    Hi Sam,

I have used a blob of Blutak in the past when reaching into cabinets to drive screws.

Good solution. I like it. Consider the idea filed for future reference.

Try an electrical wholesaler like Turks, Auslec, Lawrence & Hanson etc.
Sparkies use them for accessing screws on circuitbreakers and the like.

    Default screw grabber.

    Hi,
I don't know who made this, I was given it about 30 years ago.
It uses two half round, splayed shanks, as you slide the tubular sleeve down it forces the splayed ends to cross each other thereby thickening the blade to lock in the screw slot. Doesn't work on Philips heads or large screws.expansive screwdriver 003.jpgexpansive screwdriver 002.jpgexpansive screwdriver 001.jpg
