PM character limit

Would there be any chance of getting the PM messgae limit increased from 1000 characters?

Maybe I'm being unnecessarily verbose in my PM's but I seem to hit the limit very easily.

You must have a lot to say

I don't know if it can be increased but will have a look tonight.

I think that the reason for that word limit is that it uses a bit of server space.

I found that by deleting the "quote" I generally have enough.
