    Default Hi from Adelaide

    Hi People,

Have been searching the internet for somewhile looking for some specific information relating to Australian woodwork - and finally found a place!

I live in Adelaide - at present my main job is fencing in the country and during that time I've developed a fascination (cursed I am in my experiments in Redgum). I also have rather unfortunate taste in furniture (I want the two tastes to meet somewhere in the middle (fortunate in that the project is minor).

So far I've read some very interesting posts pertaining to the treatment of redgum which has convinced me to sign up.

Hopefully - in due course I can pick your collective thoughts on how to go about preparing old red gum posts for assembly into a very modest chest of drawers - and find more time to sort my way through the plethora of information contained herein 100's of pages of threads!

    Regards David
