Gifkins Dovetail Jig - Variable Spacer Upgrade
Hi folks, not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question. About a year ago I purchased the Variable Spacer Upgrade for my Gifkins outfit. I looked at it, couldn't follow it and thought I would try again another day. That day was today. I've spent most of the day and still can't work it out. On the Gifkins website there was a some very good explanatory notes on this VBU that I seen a few months ago, thought I would look at that again when I wanted to. However Col is now upgrading his webpage and you cant access anything.
The original manual which in most parts was very good, I just can't follow this section.
Has anyone got any good notes on this subject please.
Regards, Paul

If he does why not trot around and talk to him in person?

How did you go with your issue? Did you figure out how to use it? i have the spacers also from my kit but am not up to using them yet as im still enjoying making the finger joint and dovetail boxes that still need finishing lol
Let me know how you went, keen to hear how you find using them

The web site is up and running now. (Has been for a while) I don't know if the bit you want is there, but should think it is.

hey there Delbs,
Sorry I hadn't read this site for a few days. I sort of worked out my Variable Spacer thingies. I took a lot of notes as I was doing it. Seems its a matter of getting your head around it. I'm about to start another box very soon and intend to use them on it, will keep you posted.
