    Default For short wide planks?

The February 2014 issue has an advertisement for Woodriver planes. I quote, "The WoodRiver® V3 #4½ Bench Hand Plane is 2 7/8" long, 10 3/8" wide". Same problem with the 5 1/2. Perhaps measure twice, think again should be added to the woodworkers handbook.
    Cheers,

That's a lot of bevel to sharpen. And you'd need to be Arnie to push it.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    They're for planing 2 x 4s, Jim. (2 inches long by 4 feet wide).
