Southern Star Campers
G'day All.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been ripped off by this mob.
The Missus paid him $5600 for a camper trailer back in August.
So far No Camper and No Refund.
He promised the camper numerous times and had all the excuses under the sun as to why it never arrived. Now he says he can't refund the money cause he doesn't have it.
I'm very tempted to lob on his doorstep.
Flights are cheap from Coffs to Melbourne at the moment...Hooroo.
Regards, Trevor

Geeeez Trev,
You are really a very patient person - far more than I could have been. It obviously is not a good situation. I would start trying to recover what you can ASAP as with the festive season etc it will drag on for a while.
Hope you can resolve it satisfactorily and quickly.
Regards,
Bob

This mornings visit by our friend was quite unfortunate for them as you could expect. Our friend arrived at 9am pretending to be a customer. Scott, the owner, gave the general rave on about campertrailers then our friend requested to see a galvanised trailer, as that is what we have ordered. He was then shown one out the back, uncomplete but galvanised, then our friend quite bluntly SAID " this must be the one that belongs to """"""", US BASICALLY and then went on to say how we were told that it was meant to be freighted to us the week before last...
A couple of excused later, our friend requested it be fully completed by tomorrow as he will be back to check, and then he again will be there on Wednesday, 16th Nov, to see and check that it is properly made and personally witness it being loaded onto a truck for us to pick up n Sydney.
So thats where we are at the moment. So grateful we know someone down there as we live on the mid north coast.
Im still not entirely convinced yet, just so disappointed with the whole company.
Still not sure at this stage as to why
Scott the manager/owner, whoever he is, hasnt replied to all my husbands call to his mobile over the last week or so... so time will tell..Lets see wot hapens wednesday.... keep u posted.Cheers

Keep Persisting
We were in the Same situation. Bought 2 trailers and a tent off him and paid in full.. Fortunatley for us after 17weeks I mamaged to fianlly get the 2 trailers that we bought minus the extras that we paid for. Yesterday I finally got the tent as i had my own courier go in there and pick it up. My advice to you all is to keep ringing him. I have a huge phonebill from this but he eventually answered his mobile after 20calls in a row from me.. I did manage to get the trailers that were owed. with persistant. But it is very infuriating.
He is A BIG CON man and I would tell people to be aware.. To my knowledge he is still sellng trailers.
I guess eventually we will have to write the other stuff as a loss but Feel for the people that havent recieved anything yet.
I think this bloke needs to be exposed on A currnt Affair or Today Tonight.
I do have a mobile number for him if anyone needs it just email me..
Good Luck to all..
