Burns and chips/scratch in Granite countertop
Hey guys, I had a bit of an accident not to long ago which ended up with my Granite kitchen countertop with a 20 cent piece sized burn mark and scratch. Just wondering if there is anything I can do myself to repair the damage, or would it be best to get a professional in. If a professional is suggested does any one know any body who could do the job in Sydney and what prices we're looking at.
Cheers
Jamie

hi - sorry to hear about your mishap - is it possible ot post a pic of the damaged area AND a pic of the entire benchtop for context. I may have some suggestions but they are really based on how bad it is and where it is on the bench.

I think what Pawnhead is alluding to in all his links is yes it is possible to polish the blemish out. Any stone mason that works with granite can do it. I have never done it myself but watched others polish granite. its not too hard.
If you would prefer a contractor I can recommend Manuel from E & R tiling
0410 514 635 he's very good with granite but may not be the cheapest.
Good luck and a before and after shot would be good.
