How to finish a desk
I recently acquired through a friend a wooden kitchen bench top which I have modified into a desk for the wife. It's new, he changed his mind, and was pre-treated in Boiled Linseed Oil. My main question was what can I put over the top of the linseed oil to help protect the desk/benchtop. I don’t want a plastic look and would like to keep it simple. I was hoping to put wax over the linseed oil, but the guy at the paint shop said if I do it could bubble. Does this sound right/wrong and any ideas.
The desk is 2.2m long, about .6m deep and is made from Acacia.
Thanks
