I agree Sister, marri always impresses me, everytime i make something new, you can leave it natural or use fillers, either way it looks great

    Loverly stuff.

There was a member recently bagging marri as a furniture grade timber - he needs to look at this thread.

I read the same thread the other night that bobl mentioned, i must say its a lot easier to by prime wood to make furniture, but i like the idea of turning something that looks ugly has lots of defects, into something beaut to look at, a little hard work never hurt anyone

You should see the $$ HN are charging for a Marri bedroom suite - I bet that if they are charging that much, people are buying it and loving it.

    Update to Coffee Table

Shellac applied, just a little light sanding then apply 3 layers of Clear to seal and fill any remaining imperfections
Then final sand and apply top coats

Legs finally fitted, still debating whether to use feet for added support, every one sits on coffee tables, don’t want it to tip over

    Dimentions 1520 x 720 x 400 if i add feet would be 450

Finally got to lacquer the table, added some feet for support
i Have 10 more slabs to do and after using the router on sled with all the mess and time i decided to get a wood wizz, should be here in around 5 weeks
