    Default Hanging Vanity

Have pulled off our kitchen vanity to refinish it.

Curious, when hanging it back up, is it best to seal around top and sides with silicone to the tile wall to prevent possible moisture getting behind it from the walls when condensation builds up.
I have just installed a new extraction fan, so condensation is much less of an issue as previous, but still some.

    Cheers

    Your information is very limited.
    Address the condensation problem first.
If condensation is a major problem then the extractor fan needs to extract to open air not just back into the kitchen.

    "kitchen vanity"? Anyway...

Seal it the best you can, but condensation running down the walls needs to be addressed.

Perhaps a bigger extraction fan. More important is to make sure there is a gap/vent in the door or a window that allows the fan to move air freely

Not thinking while typing. Bathroom Vanity.

Condensation issue is fixed as best as possible for a bathroom. The new fan does a great job at removing the steam quickly and is vented out the roof.

    cheers

Seal with silicone for water splash and spills.
If you think you need to protect the area behind the vanity from condensation you have other issues that need addressing first.
