Piano black/Glss white how is it done?
Hey all,
I need to make up a simple cabinet for a Reptile. I will be using waterproof melamine and was hoping to have a white melamine inside and glass back/piano black outside, or vice versa.
How is this wood finish achieved and what material should i construct it from. Most people make these cages from MDF or Particleboard with a layer or Melamine to provide waterproofing on the inside. My box will be 4Lx2x2'. I assumes double layer melamine MDF construction then cover remaining areas with a filler before sanding and applying finish? The finish being what ever achives the pionao whit/black loss look?
Also what size screws are good for butt jointed 20mm ie 3/8th melamine without cracking the wood?
ill be doing something similar to this:
