After a joining method for a barn
Hello,
I'm currently trying to build a barn, I'm building a prototype of something I can flat pack to people not willing to pay expensive freight prices and sent built for people that don't mind the freight price. However, even if sent built it would be nice if they could pull it apart to repaint if needed. I'm after a way to join four walls and screw a roof on, I don't really want to use normal Screws in case the buyer is after just a clear finish. Can anyone think of any good joining methods to put an item like this together, I have seen Timber like Screws which are built from Timber, and can be painted, but I can't seem to find them to buy, had anyone got any good ideas or plans?
Thanks.

Looks like a pretty small barn.
Is it for a family of mice?

japanese wooden nails?
japanese wooden nails?
How about something like these: http://www.japanesetools.com.au/coll...s/wooden-nails
You could pre-drill all the holes with the tapered bit, supply a few nails and the clients can tap them in? They can be sanded/cut flat.... the wooden peg end looks good. I'm thinking of using them more on my boxes.
Pretty simple, might not be what you're after though....
Obligatory taunt follows:
