    Default Interesting 1904 Sliding table saw video.

    Found this interesting video of a 1904 slider in regular use in the USA in a coach making shop. Machine has two arbours and two blades mounted, so you can change between a ripping blade and a crosscut blade by operating the blade rise and fall crank. Can also adjust the slider offset from the blade, fit dado blades and a range of other things.
    I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

    His excuse not to use guarding is a bit feeble but I like the saw

    Fantastic machine, but agree he could build a better guard arrangement, but he does have the benefit of the saw having sliding tables.

    Very cool! Reminds me of the Oliver No. 260-D Double Arbor saw.
