Screwing down baltic to chipboard?
Hello all,
Long time reader, first time poster…
I am looking to lay some 190mm baltic boards on top of a yellow tongue floor.
The plan is to sand down the chipboard, then use cheap glue (liquid nails) and 30mm chipboard screws.
The glue is mainly to fill in any un-eveness, as i figured the screws would hold the boards down well. I know there will be big putty holes for the screw heads, however it will probably match the rest of the house which has very rustic 240mm baltic.
Is this a crazy idea?
cheers
