Fixing Sliding Door Frame/Jamb to Brick
Hi all,
I have installed a few standard swing doors and never had a problem. Just pack the frame square and through nail to the surrounding wall frame.
I want to replace an old glass panel sliding door I have with a newer sliding glass panel door I have acquired. It comes already framed so no dramas I thought.
Prob is I'll need to remove the old door frame and fixtures right back to the brick veneer opening because of rotting, warp etc. The new door is metric (2400) and the hole is close but imperial. If I have room, I'll dyna bolt a frame to the brick and proceed as normal, but if I haven't enough room for a frame can i simply pack to the brickwork and secure as normal but with brick fixtures?
Ralph
