H&F BP305 bandsaw _problems with table locking handle
Hi, Just wondering if anyone could help as I can't get the handle to engage the nut to release the tilt mechanism. The handle is spring loaded. I cant work out how to pull it apart to see what is going on. Instruction booklet is no help.
Thanks,
Malthemender

Is this the one?

If so, you should be able to just wiggle it back and forward a fraction while lightly pushing it inwards against light spring pressure, and it should slide on to the spline inside allowing you to undo it. The spring will push it back off the spline each time you release pressure on it. This will allow you to move the handle to a new position to re-engage it again and loosen or tighten the screw further.
They can be dismantled by undoing the screw in the middle and sliding the handle of. When removing the handle, make sure you don't loose the spring that is inside the handle.

Thanks from malthemender
Hi Toymaker Len, Yes that's the one. I appreciate your quick reply this holiday season! I'll give it a go. The handle just isn't sliding back on the spline. I'll try your suggestion.
Happy new year!

Sorry for wrong addressee
My reply I think should have been to Treecycle, thanks. Toymaker Len liked the post, thanks Len. I obviously am not used to reading the posts correctly!
Happy New Year to all!
