    Default G'day from Ipswich, Qld

G'day, I'm Steve, and I like to burn timber!...now before you start throwing things at me, ...my hobbie is Pyrography (aka woodburning).
Time, family, divorce (amicable) and carpal tunnel have diverted my efforts to work full time with timber, but they have enabled me to think laterally, to combine drawing with timber, (Yay...and No...the answer wasn't a pencil! ), and redirect my love of drawing. (light bulb and inspirational music please) - Pyrography.
It can be a bit daunting sometimes, because a mistake in the middle of a project can be hard to rectify or blend in to the theme of the work, hence I tend to take a while to complete. (my last three projects averaged 80 hours each)..but I love the effects the burning techniques can produce. I've attached some pics. (hope they work) There were defects in the timber for the Old Man lion, so I thought I would incorporate them to give the effect of scars from a tough life in the bush.
I look forward to being able to learn from the vast amount of experience and ideas that abound in forums like this, and in turn hope I can pass on a few ideas too!
    Cheers, Steve (Woodburner)
