Is there such a thing as a small portable Document Incinerator?
Hello Chaps,
This is a longshot I know, but I'm just wondering whether any of you have ever seen some sort of small purpose-designed portable Document Incinerator for sale anywhere? I usually shred any five-year-old paperwork at the end of each tax-year, but I've slowly been accumulating a bunch of old cheque-butts, deposit-books, etc, and I could thus kill two birds with one stone each year if I was able to instead plonk everything into some type of small smokeless Incinerator. Besides the fact that my Shredder can't handle cheque butts and the like, I'm sick and tired of the very fine dust that it makes anyway...
The ideal Incinerator would have to be some sort of "turbo" or "cyclonic"-design, in order to operate smokelessly when burning what would effectively be reams of stacked paper. I've seen some units here and there on the web, but they are all self-powered and at least the size of a 44gal drum (which is unecessarily large...). Something smaller might be cheaper to buy, especially if the air-stream was supplied by an external DIY source (like a Shop-Vac or a Dust Collector) rather than an on-board facility.
So... Seen anything in the category, anyone?
Many Thanks,
Batpig.

Old heater?
A cheap workable option may be to find an old slow combustion or pot belly heater and use it in the backyard. If you get one with an air intake below the grate on which you can put the paper then it will draw enough air to create a good fire. Use at least 2 metres of flue to help it draw and put some wire netting over the top to arrest flying unburnt documents.

Dear Guys,
Ahhh... if only it was that simple . Already tried it a couple of times, but since reams of paper only seem to smoulder in from the edges, and thus make too much smoke, things ain't quite that simple when you live in the burb's...
I'll take that one on board FarmerGeoff (and "ruminate" on it a little )
Many Thanks,
Batpig.

Don't chew the cud for too long or Browns cows might get there before you.
