Pickled Cucumbers
Due to slight miscalculation in the planning department, I've find myself with an abundance of cucumbers.
This morning I picked about 5Kgs of them and I'm in the process of making pickles - first time.
First batch is a dill pickle, next lot I might try some garlic in there are well.
If anyone has a good recipe for pickled cucumbers, I'd love to hear it.Geoff

Can't help you with a recipe. But this summer I decided to grow tiny Gherkin cucumbers to pickle them. I planted about a dozen seeds to which all have grown. There was no massive inundation of fruit, they all wanted to come on spasmodically and if I left them for a couple of days they grew to large fat cucumbers... still very nice to eat but no pickling.
