Building weight limits
Anyone know (or know where I can find out) what the weight limits are for buildings.
I live in an upstairs unit, no yard and I would like to get one of those portable spa's - it'll go in the spare room quite happily and I can deflate it come inspection time.
The specs say it weighs 1100kg all up, is this going to be too much?
Cheers

The room is 3100x2500, concrete floor and identical lay out to the unit below.
The spa is 1960 diameter.

If it was a timber floor I could give you an exact answer but being a concrete floor, I cannot, but from my experience it should be ok.
You would need to consult a practicing qualified structural engineer who can get access to the engineering design for the floor to give you a 100% accurate answer.
Be very aware that you will be liable for any defects arising from the installation of the spa without permission and since you have indicated that you are renting, any defects / damage will void your bond. The person who never made a mistake never made anything

This is only one of those blow up ones, so as long as I'm careful with leaks I should be ok.
But yeah will think long and hard about it - I wanted a ground floor unit with a yard but this place was just too good to turn down.
