Wild weather.
Has been very windy all night, chimney was vibrating & we could hear stuff bouncing along the roof.
Woke up to 'no power' and a carpet of leaves on the lawn & veranda like Yasi left last year.
Still getting wind gust that shake the chimney & it is half trying to rain.
A tropical low moved through over Cairns heading out to sea early yesterday.
Once it got out over the reef it started to 'spin up' & the winds increased all day yesterday & through the night.
""At 4am EST, a tropical low [989 hPa] was located over the Coral Sea approximately 260 nm east of Cairns and moving east southeast at 10 knots.""
Power just came back on.... Yeehaw.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

There's been some insane weather up that way the last couple of days, especially the floods in QLD and NSW. Hope all forum members in those areas are safe and well.
Hope your chimney stays fixed Cliff Disasters like losing power for any length of time inhibits quality shed time-Scott

Looking nice and cyclonic on the IR imagery now Cliff.
Good news, from what I read it'll continue out into the Coral Sea and won't affect Qld. Hang onto your hat in March though. Better get that chimney fixed!
Cheers
Michael
