It's a hard life Cliff but I suppose somebody has to do it. I hope this trip is not too much hard work for you and see if you can find the time for a bit of enjoyment.

    G'day.

Lots of time spent sitting in Airport lounges so far, this is fun.....
We have flown Cairns to Hon Kong, had our flight from Hong Kong to
London cancelled & then put on a different Airline only to find that
when we got to Hong Kong, it had been done incorrectly &
even though our luggage was booked through on that Airline &
on that flight, we weren't. Long story short, we got back on a fight with
the original Airline & they say the have retreived our luggage.
We are now sitting in a lounge in London waiting for a flight to Rome.

Anyway, it could be worse, I could be still at home listening to people
grizzle about broken computers instead of sitting in lounge on the other
side of the world wondering if we will have any cloths to wear when we
finally get to where we are going.

Nope, hopefully won't need it either..... we packed a Kg of our own favorite
    coffe & a small plunger.

We do have plenty of paper Euros in case we can't find any hot water though.

I've got the hang of the coffee machines in the airport lounges....
You grab the BIGGEST mug/cup you can & stick it under the spout &
keep pressing the Expresso button til the mug/cup is almost full &
then add a drop of milk & as many sugars as the number of times you pressed
the button to get a full mug/cup.

A mate is in Austria at present & he e-mailed to say that he paid 9.80Euros
for half a glass of champagne.

Ouch:eek: . Tell him in Austria he should know better, stick to Beer

I forgot about the Euros thing. It used to be a pain in Italy with 4000 Liire for a cuppa. Have a good one, send some piccy's of the local "wildlife"

    Cheers

The best thing about this trip so far it the fact that we are travelling backwards through the time zones.....
We left Cairns at midday on Friday & have been travelling for nearly a day &
a half & it's only 7:30am on Saturday morning here.

The crook bit will be having to come home.
