Unhappy Not going to the New Years Test

Earlier this year I registered with CA to become a member of "The Cricket Family" so I could purchase tickets to next year's Sydney Test before they went on sale to the general public.

Today was the day they went on sale.

I tried from 9.00 am (when the sale started) 'till 11.15 am before I could get on to the site. I was trying to get third day tickets.

By the time I managed to get on everything had been sold out!
    Deluxe seating to General Admission.

Me and a few mates have been going to the Sydney Test every year for the past 18 years. Looks like our unbroken run is over.

Ah well, guess I'll just watch it in the air-conditioned comfort of my TV room.

It'll probably be a dead rubber anyway, we should be 4 nil up by then.

    Bummer.

There's a story in the SMH about it:

    It's all those bloody poms.

    Ditto at the Gabba,

So I won't be going to the first day of the first test (sigh).

Craig, you can get tickets to the Sydney one day international off eBay for 250 pounds  if you wish.

(Not that any pommies would have been able to falsely register as part of the Australian Cricket Family or anything)

    Cheers,

    P

And you certainly wouldn't catch any cricket hating ticket scalper registering, either...

A mate at work (well, ok, my boss!) has been trying to get tickets for the Boxing Day game here in Melbourne, but without success. He and his lad have been going to the B.D. test for years, but this year it seems that hordes of pommies have nabbed all the tickets...

Tell him he can get them on eBay as well at a "buynow" price of GBP250 as well.

Is it strange that eBay.com.au is listing stuff in Pounds?

Why do people feel like they have to respond to these cricket threads to tell us how much they hate cricket? WE DON'T CARE!!!

    Sorry CraigB
I'm just making sure of a full English backing attendance, so I booked all available tickets.
