Sanding down benchtop and recoating
I've got a wooden kitchen benchtop - not sure what kind of wood.
I believ the existing coating is some sort of polyurathane, see pictures after some scraping.
I've now scrapped some areas off and sanded with and orbital sander at 120grit, then hand sanded to 240grit and test applied some hard wax oil - didn't like the effect, not as thick as the existing coating.
Does anybody have any recommendations of a poly product to use that is thick like the existing, it's very thick as you can see from the shavings.

I would use Rustins Plastic coating, in my opinion and many others it is the best product every produced for Bench tops.
