User Reputations
User reputations are now up and running. These are a bit of fun and a way for you to show your approval or disapproval of members posts.
You will find a the link at the bottom of a post under the users name. Click on it to approve or disapprove of a users post. This will add or remove a point to their reputation.
A users reputation can be viewed by hovering over the little coloured box next to Posts. Green for good reputation & Blue for not so good.
Each member automatically starts out with 10 points. 1 point is added every 30 days. 1 point is added every 100 posts. 1 point is added for every 100 points earned.
You must have 50 posts before your reputation hits will count on another member.
You must have 10 reputation points before your reputation hits will count on another member.
You can only allocate 10 user points to others in any 24 hour period.
You must give points to 20 other members before you can allocate to the same person a second time.
Each time you click on the Reputation Image you allocate 1 point to that member either as approval or disapproval.
I think that just about covers it all.
Cheers - Neil

And you can't add to your own reputation (unless you're an administrator)

Hmmmm, yes, this seems a bit embarrasing
Cough, shuffle,....mmmm, ahhhum
When I went to give a vote to Sturdee I got this message
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Sturdee again."
What the????????????????
Hey I may be cheap, but not that cheap.

I can hardly wait for the first batch of resignations brought about when all those negative points on the board add up, and the numbers of little green squares start to disappear though.
Love your work Neil, even if as a moderator you are a cheating little green square hoarder!!!

I can see a time in the future where there will be a proliferation of the creation of alliances due to the reputaion point ala "survivor..."
I note also that there is an "add comments" field one can write little wittisizms when spreading your love points... how can (if at all) a user see what comments someone has given them when distributing points ????Zed

Go to user CP all will be reveled.
I think it's funny, you could like you say, all get together and take off points from some one.
If you take the points seriously it will keep you on your toes.
If you dont, its just a laugh.

I also dont take it seriously, I really dont give a farg... but (dammit!!!!!) my competitive nature likes to see i'ma doin' ok....
had a look at the usercp but it only shows "last reputation points given" not all of 'em.... how do I know who loves me ???
bugger!
I like the idea of ganging up on someone.... do you reckon we can make anyone else have a cry and send a "last post" ????Zed
