Hi,

Kind Regards,

Probably not quite what you are looking for, but an Ikea clock at $3.00 has a silent 'continuous' motor which may be able to be taken out and mounted in your own wooden clock. TROMMA Wall clock, white, 25 cm - IKEA BYO battery (AA).
I know that the isn't an Ikea store local to you, but they might do mail order or you may have a mate living near a store who could check it out for you.

Have you tried eBay?
I recently bought a movement that is labeled as silent. It is in the workshop so I have not really taken any notice, but the second hand sweeps instead of ticks.
