Cannot access/edit My Profile

Hey guys, I've been having this issue since I signed up here. When I try to access my profile by clicking my username, or "My Profile" at the top right of the website, I receive the following message:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I would like to update my profile and signature, ect. and if I'm doing something wrong, I am hard pressed to figure it out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
