Decent cabinet hardware
Hi All,
I'm looking to find a source of decent cabinet hardware, specifically some butt hinges and soft-close cabinet stays in Sydney or online.
The project is a toy box for my daughter, 90x60x60cm made from 19mm ply. The problem I have is that when looking at hinges from Bunnings and other local hardware stores they all have a gap of about 2mm between each of the hinge sides meaning that when closed the hinge sides are not exactly parallel. Is this normal and actually part of the design or just a crap hinge?
I can work around this, but that will leave a hinge that is not flush with the surface or a gap in the lid when closed.
Any help for a source would be appreciated.
Thanks
David
