Default Air module for Festool cleantex extractor?

    G'day

Its been a while since I posted, courtesy of two little guys that are now approaching the age of 4!

I'm looking for some feedback on someone who has the compressed air module fitted to a cleantex festool dust extractor. I have a Cleantex 36 extractor and as I understand it, an air module can be purchased and installed into the separate socket.

    The questions I have are:

    1. Is the installation a done by the user or does the extractor have to be sent off?

    2. how well does the module work?

    3. Is the pressure adjustable?

    Many thanks in advance

    Default CT36 air module

    Marios,

The "Air Module" you are referring to is basically a switch for dust extraction to be activated when an air tool is turned on. An air line is plugged in from your compressor to the CT 36, with a second air hose going from the CT 36 to an air tool, usually a sander.

Activate the sander and dust extractor fires up.

So, to answer your questions, as a switch, module works fine. If it was purchased anticipating it to convert the CT 36 to a mobile air compressor, sorry!

This should answer. Your third query about the pressure being adjustable. There is nothing to adjust.

As for installation, it is a case of 2 screws and a click in socket. Though it is a simple task, in these days of OH&S, a trained technician would probably be required to install. Have to make allowances for the one in a million who will try to do the job without disconnecting the power first.

    Hope this helps.

    Steve
