    Default How much water ?

    Hi all, just an enquiry.

I have a building and the roof area is 52 square meters. Question is how big of a drainage pipe system would be required for the roof size. It currently has a ninety eight mill earthenware pipe which runs under the building for about 12 meters and is in need of replacement. I was hoping I could push some ninety mill
sewerage line or some stormwater pvc through the existing pipe.

    All ideas welcome

    Kind regards mike

Mick visit the lysaght web site, they have a design manual that matches the applicable standard. Basically you design the drainage based on a rain intensity peak every 20 years. In Tamworth it is about 160mm/hr. There are tables where you read off the area and the gutter cross sectional area. Then finally the size of the downpipe.

    Cheers
