Tungsten Preheating - any white papers?
Tungsten preheating has been available on some welding machines for ages but there isn't much information about it.
There appears to be two uses:
- To maintain the ball at the tip of the tungsten
- To help with arc starting
If it helps with arc starting, why not use it with DC TIG?
What I am looking for is the science behind it.
Thanks
Jack
