Default Sound level meter in Sydney

I would like to take some sound level readings for some equipment that has been installed at our place to see whether it is performing in accordance with specification.
Does anyone in Sydney (north shore preferred) have a good sound level meter I could borrow?
    TIA
    Cheers

Pity you don't have an old sound system/recording device with VU meters Jeremy

Jeremy, anyone with a smart phone, iPhone or Android, can download a free app sound meter.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

My son was showing me all the Aps he has on his phone last weekend spirit level, VU, meter, digital angle meter, protractor, tape measure all accurate all used within his work so he claims if he pays for the Aps.

After reading this I downloaded a free application for the Iphone and it seems to work well ...... nothing to really calibrate it against however!
