Insulating A Tin Roof (Hopefully cheaply!)
G'dat folks,
Wondering if somebody can offer some advice on insulating a (pretty massive) tin roof, that won't break the bank. I'm renting a commercial space with an exposed tin roof (7 c-beams running lengthwise, with supporting c-beams running horizontally 5 metres apart from each other). It's roughly about 30 metres long and 8 metres in width. Because I'm renting, I just want something that's effective. Doesn't need to look like the Sistine Chapel or anything! Also, I'm a starving musician who wants to keep the cost down and doesn't necessarily feel the need to but the landlord a nice Christmas present. It's a commercial lease, so I can hack and bash away if need be. What I basically need to know is:
- best type of insulation (r-rating, foil blankets? Batts?)
- Most cost effective way of keeping it up there (chicken wire??)
- And if anybody has hot-tip for finding insulation materials at a good price.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers!
