Hello I'm a new member from Missouri, USA
I am a hobby woodworker now but spent a career in construction. I spent the first years in the trades, carpentry, cabinet making and the last ten before retirement as a project manager, plan reviewer for an architect. I spend some time now building furniture for our home using a mixture of hand and power tools. I enjoy seeing the projects that others design and build and having the ability to see some of the problems and solutions that will help me to improve my methods of work.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

G'Day & Welcome "to the Great South Land" & to a top forum "Osage".
There are quite a few members from USA on the forum as well as across the rest of the world..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
