Mr
Hi
I have joined the forum in order to gain potential advice regarding a woodworking problem. I am an artist currently attempting to build a camera obscura in wood. I have built a cardboard example. This works well and produces a good image. However I quickly ran into a whole range of problems when trying to build this simple device in wood. I have basic tools and working area. I wanted the camera to look slightly authentic and realised that this really requires some craftsmanship. It is basically a box (rectangular) about 400mm long with 200 extention, about 200mm wide.
Any ideas are welcome.
Best wishes

G'day, Alex.
Can you describe the range of problems? My dictionary entry for "camera obscura" seems to indicate either a pinhole or a small lens. Probably not the best authority. Wikipedia may have better info. The Box-Making forum could provide some guidance on jointery.
Welcome aboard.
