LVL15 same as LVL F17?
Hello
I have to replace an existing LVL15 beam which is a tilling product. Unfortunately LVL15 is very difficult to find, and my timber yard said I can use LVL F17. I have read a few places that LVL15 is the equivalent to F17 KD HW. So LVL F17 should be a substitute for LVL15 (assuming same width and depth)?

Why are you replacing it?
If it is because you are changing spans or additional load then the new load /span criteria has to be calculated to do the job.The person who never made a mistake never made anything
Cheers
