do this do that!! what should I do?
Hi all
Well, I went to buy all the other bits a peices for the bamboo floor I intended to float and now I am getting different info. RRRRRRR
I have glued down MDF on the painted cement floor in the kitchen and on the cement in the main bed room to bring the floor levels upto the tiles in the hall and lounge. So, I now have level floors.
I intended to float the bamboo 15mm tunge and groove (spelling? doesn't matter how I do it still looks wrong - oh well you know what I mean) 96mm wide.
Now I am being told I cannot float it. They recommend direct stick (either trowel it on the floor and place boards (like tiling) or run 2 strips of glues down the length of the board and stick down, but cannot give me an answer about the tiles and I do not fancy all that glue? I do not know what to do now.
If I need to glue it down, will running 2 strips of glue down the length of the board work on the tiled area? on the MDF areas?
can all boards be secret nailed? What nails do you use?
I was thinking gluing down on tiles and sectret nail on the mdf. Will this work?
Any other suggestions!
