    Default Slab Hut

Does anyone know of anyone who has made a slab hut or a log cabin out of any Australian timbers like gum or iron bark?

Kosciuszko Huts Association helps maintain the high country huts and they have a lot of people with great skills in all sorts of old crafts incl slab hut construction. You might get some ideas from photos on their website or find someone who can give you some info. http://www.khuts.org

    G'Day & Welcome to a top forum .
There are a stack of members in Brisbane and across S.E. Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork...
    Cheers crowie

May I suggest to add a new thread with your slab hut request and questions in a more relevant subsection to gain a wider audience and thus helpful responses, sorry that I can't help more....
