    Unhappy Nightmare walls

    Hi,
We just bought a 70s apartment. Previous owners converted the laundry into a study area. They just covered half the walls (bottom to middle) with thin board and papered it.
We took the board down and found various holes where the utilities went, this is fine as we can fill them with patching plaster etc.
The rest of the walls are covered in brown glue and there is 1 corner that is plasterboard with half the paper missing.
Some of the finishing plaster has come off and reveals the grey bubble plaster underneath.
It's not a pretty sight, I feel like just sticking tongue and groove panelling over the top again but it's a small room as it is.
    What would you do?

    Can you send a pic?

But is does sound like it may be better to re line the room either with plasterboard or if you prefered timber panneling.

Without seeing it, I cant say what is best to do. It may be patchable!

    Cheers

We had areas like that when we bought this place. It was easier to replaster some rooms completely than patch up multiple holes.
I'm glad we replastered, it came up really neat (a plasterer might think otherwise!), and I'd never plastered before!
