G'day everyone
Hi all, my name's Mike. I've just started out in this woodworking caper, with a doll's house for my daughter's birthday, followed quickly by several other projects. My wife's rapidly becoming scared of suggesting we get or do anything around the house because my new favourite phrase is "I reckon I could make that".
I've got a particular interest in making toys for my daughters, and I'll be posting a bit in the toys forum, I think.
But really, any project that allows me to make stuff will do
Anyway, I look forward to joining in with this forum, as I've already learned so much by just lurking.
Cheers, Mike

G'day Mike and welcome;
Toy making for kids is a very satisfying pass time, good for the creative mind and extending ones self as you learn and try more projects.
Best of all is see the kids not just recieve the toy you made for them but seeing them have many hours of enjoyment.
Enjoy the forum,
Cheers, Crowie.
PS - The other good thing about woodwork & toy making it helps clear your head of some other stuff; very relaxing.

Welcome Mike, ahh we need some pic of anthing you have made. Home made toys are great and they can be non toxic, cut back on imports from china etc and you and the kids get to have fun. And because you are making things for the kids you will be allowed to buy more toys oh I mean tools
