Default Bosch GOF 1300 ACE ADjustments

Hi I was using this machine in a Triton Table and all was good. I have placed it into a dedicated Router table and now the router lowers when using starting at approx 7mm and by the time i go 30cm it is almost down to 2mm . I have opushed teh lock lever as hard as i can to make sure it is locked , and now the fine adjustment knob will not turn? HELP I also need to use an extension chuck as the original one does not lift high enough through the router tablw Any ideas what to do to fix these problems? Thanks

The advice on the threads that aldav linked to should give the answers to your locking question by moving the plastic lever to a new position. Just be careful if moving the lever. After you remove the retaining screw hold the lever firmly as you pull it off the hex headed locking bolt as there is a spring behind it which will try to turn the lever anticlockwise. Just pull it out far enough to get it off the head and then rotate the lever to the right until you can maneuver it back on to the next position on the hex. Once on, just put the screw back in. As for the fine adjustment knob, it only has about 8 turns from one end of its stroke to the other, it is not infinitely variable. What you may have done is screw it hard up against one end of the stroke. When you get it free it would be a good idea to set it at about the half way point of 4 turns. The fine adjuster will still work when the main lock is engaged.
