Metabo 125mm ROS dust collection
I have a 150mm ROS and a 125mm ROS. The problem with the smaller machine is that the dust outlet is not round and almost impossible to hook up a shop vacuum and I had a job inside the house. I really did not want the dust everywhere:

However, it does come with plastic filter box. I removed the paper filter and found an old floor sweep. I cut off the flap that retained the filter and cut down the floor sweep. That was screwed and glued to the body of the filter. The top had chevron type openings for the air to exhaust and that was closed off with a sheet of plastic that was epoxied in place. The remaining holes were bogged up with silicone.

One unexpected advantage with the floor sweep was the rotating connector. Although this whole contraption is a little bulky, the hose can be easily positioned to the best advantage.

The solution was a little bit Heath Robinson. Some dust does get through, but not much. My estimate would be 90% to 95% collection.

It's not what it looks like, it's whether it works or not. Mesh sanding media?

I had the exact same issue. I used the crevace tool from my shop-vac poked it into the ROS outlet and duct tape. It's still there after 3 1/2 years.

piece of 70 - 100mm pvc pipe and a heat gun
you would know by looking what dia pipe off cut would suit but simply work one end of pipe till nice and sqisshy then mold over the sander outlet. Then either glue, rivet or tek screw if place (if needed) add a reducer on the other end of pipe and attach vacuum cleaner. I would (should) look neater and be a lot less bulkier.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Heat guns are one of the cheapest things you can buy. Oh sorry sure lets buy a Metebo or Frstool (nah they dont make them ) cheap Ozito will do the job.
