G'Day ALL,
I have made a mantle clock about 450 high and 300 wide from very old maple timber that used to be window frames in a big Canberra building. The timber is perfectly clear but as with most maple it is rather coarse grained. Can ayone advise me on the best way to finish the work.

I have put a lot of work into it with a wave shaped top, the face is a raised plinth turned on a rectangular board to recess the dial and I have turned half spindles that appear to support the head. I put in a lot of time and don't want to stuff up the finish.

Can you please advise

Regards Sid
