    Default Retaining wall

    I need to build a 8 x 1.2 m retaining wall underneath my decking.

As it will not be visible I want to work out what is going to be my cheapest option, I normally would just use sleepers but was wondering if there would be a cheaper way of doing it since it wont be seen...

    Any suggestions ?

A number of holiday houses around here use tyres filled with sand or cement. Pretty dodgy-rama if you ask me, but it seems to be effective.

Another cheap option is recycled bricks, but probably the quickest is the concrete post and rail style, although this will be more expensive than sleepers.
