Reverse sloping roof
Wanting to build a roof over my dads deck which is 2m by 3m, so the rafters would be spanning roughly just over 2m, instead of building it the normal way with the high point close to the house and sloping down at the end of the deck I want to do something different.
Because he is on a small lifestyle block he has a tank for water so I was thinking of having the new deck roof slope the reverse so being at the high point at the end of the deck then sloping down into the top of his existing spouting so any water collected on the new roof would land up on his existing roof and into his tank.
My question is over 2 m would be a good fall, I want the fall but also want it to be a design feature so a honest fall over 2m that you would notice, how much would be too much.
Has anyone done something similar and is there problems that occur from this?
