    Wink Beer Maths

This is clever - no idea how it works!!!!!
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
    It only takes 30 seconds.......

Work this out as you read.

Must be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

    1. First of all, pick the number of times a day that you would like to have a beer, (try for more than once but less than 10)

Quite a simple explanation for it, actually. Unfortunately, it involves a little maths.

if we let x = your original number, then what you end up with after going through all these steps is:

    50 (2x + 5) + 1750 - your birth year, assuming you've already had your birthday. This simplifies to

    100x + 2000 - your birth year.

The 100x makes sure that the first digit is your original number. The 2000 - your birth year (obviously) gives you your age.

Sorry... just the engineer in me showing through.
